French law for the FRench
French law seems to be for the French, and the French only. Earlier this week Jeannie Longo was acquitted after a procedural mistake. The French law prevailed over UCI rulings and Longo went free.
Her husband Patrice Ciprelli was involved in a much more serious matter. He allegedly bought EPO through a website. Former US pro Joe Papp has very convincing emails in which Ciprelli bought the EPO and he handed those over to the French authorities.
Today Cyclism’Actu revealed the entire case might be suspended. Is it just me, or is this plain weird?
