Updated: Former French team doctor arrested

Dr. Philippe Bedoucha, former doctor of continental team BigMat-Auber93 has been arrested by French police in Creteil, near Paris. Bedoucha is investigated because he allegedly provided EPO and growth hormones to riders. Bouchera was the team doctor untill 2010.

Several riders were heard as witnesses. Arnold Jeanesson, now pro with FDJ and one of France’s biggest talents, was one of them. He originally comes from Aubervilliers cycling team. The riders are not under investigation, says L’Equipe.

Philippe Tellier, a former rider who tested positive for EPO in 2010, is also under arrest.

BigMat is the new sponsor for FDJ. Garmin saw the deal fall through. @Vaughters reactions on twitter were epic: Team BigMat doctor arrested on doping trafficking charges. My mom always said: sometimes things happen for a reason / Hate to say that it made me smile, as its not good for the sport. However, the way we’ve been treated by them: it made me smile
